Welcoming from the get-go, Paul invited the entire carpentry class to sing Happy Birthday to Deb in celebration of her 50th birthday (and coincidentally, day one of her apprenticeship).  She describes that the two share a " mutual respect that has been invaluable to her journey as a carpenter." Deb journeyed out of her apprenticeship program this past Summer and is now the foreman of a female-owned construction company.

"Good job, sister!" was Paul's first reaction, followed by a fist pump to Deb on her new job site in Boston. Deb is working on the Greenline Transformation, a major project for the community.

"I was so excited to show Paul around and go over the blueprints for the work we are doing. He's never hesitated to go out of his way to make sure I know he is proud of me, his former student," says Deb.
